The Niobrara Conservation District Community Enhancement Tree Program provides for conservation and natural resource enhancement on public property for public benefit. The program is open to any entities, agencies and individuals who see a need and have the desire to improve and enhance the community in which we live. The landowners, sponsoring agency or group and effected parties should be involved in all phases of the project and must agree to and sign the application and the contract approval. All parties must agree upon the implementation and long term maintenance including but not limited to: planting, replacement costs and proper care. Failure to complete and comply with the contract obligations will result in the cost of the project being paid back to the District. The district will provide 75% of the cost of the trees and shrubs. The applicant and / or landowner shall provide 25% of the cost of the trees. Additional cost share may be negotiated for survival aids, labor and additional needs.
Deadline: Applications are due on March 1st of each year. Please submit the completed application to the Niobrara Conservation District, PO Box 659, Lusk, WY 82225.
