It started Friday night with Niobrara County High School classes getting together to celebrate their reunions, then picked back up Saturday morning with garage sales, followed by the annual barbecue lunch at the Lusk State Bank, the book sale at the library, and the ice cream social. In addition, this year the library also added a table of local and area authors. These authors had copies of their books on hand and included Dennis Rollins of the ‘Dell and the Yellow Hotel’ documentary. Currently, his next project includes ‘Dell: Live’. In addition to Rollins, Larid Johnson with ‘Yellow Dog Eight’, Phyllis Hahn with ‘And No One Died’, Kally Jo Surbeck with ‘For the Love of’, Papa C. Turner with ‘The Train to Never’ , and Helen Pugsley with ‘War and Chess’ were also scheduled to be on hand. Following the downtown festivities, the alumni had their annual banquet for the celebrating classes.
