Annual Saddle Up For St. Jude ride

Posted

For the Herald-

The annual Saddle Up For St. Jude ride is coming up again on September 16 at 10:00. This year the ride will be near Orin Junction at Andy Gray’s ranch.  Go west on highway 18-20 then turn south ( left) on 319 and follow the signs and ribbons.

Riding for St Jude Children’s Hospital and research center is such a worthy cause.  Every dollar we raise makes a huge impact in the lives of St Jude kids and their families. The research hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and most importantly, defeats childhood cancer.  Overall survival rate has gone from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since it opened more than 50 years ago.

Sign up pledge sheets will be available at Country Corner Hair Shoppe, Cow Camp Saddlery, and Ranchers Feed and Supply.  Please stop in, pick up a pledge sheet and join us this year.  Bring the completed pledge and waiver form when you come. The ride is slow and easy, good for green riders or green horses.  There is time to visit on the trail and enjoy riding where you wouldn’t usually get a chance to.  The ride will take approximately 3 hours.  Bring a lunch and we can all sit and visit afterwards.  You might have a chance to ride across the Platte if you’d like,  if the water isn’t too high.  It promises to be a good ride either way.

If you have any questions please call Carla Stroh at 307-267-7901.
