LUSK – Stagecoach Museum hosts annual tree-lighting ceremony.
On Nov. 21, the Chamber of Commerce welcomed the community to attend the annual tree-lighting ceremony followed by refreshments. There were kids singing Christmas carols and a lighting countdown by Lusk Mayor Doug Lytle, where he thanked everyone for attending.
The evening was chilly, but there were a lot of warm hearts and smiling faces to take part in the town tradition. Attendees were welcome to get in out of the cold to spend a little bit of time talking with each other while the kids got the opportunity to visit with Santa and his helper “Jingles” the Elf, aka Dave and Barbara Crofutt.
The tree-lighting event was put together with the participation of several organizations in Lusk. The Chamber of Commerce hosted the event and provided refreshments with Lusk Volunteer Fire Dept. donating the time of some is members to cook and prepare it. The Lusk Student Council and FBLA chapter hung the lights for the trees.
