Today’s obscure holiday is: National Whiskey Day.

I am proud to be a “Luskite.” The amount of donations that came in last week to go to our neighbors in distress was great! The whole front of the office at The Lusk Herald, was full of clothes and goods to make its way to Nebraska for friends, and family in need. The donations from our community filled two pickup trucks in the cab and pickup bed. Once again, our community has come together and shown others how we take care of each other, and that is something to be very proud of. Thank you to everyone who has donated through myself, or other means.

If you or someone you know are looking to donate hay to anyone in Nebraska all hay, feed, supplies, and donations for Nebraska recovery efforts are being coordinated by the Nebraska Department of Ag, and then using National Guard for distribution.
