LUSK – The University of Wyoming (UW) believes it is important to not only celebrate those who sign athletic letters of intent, but also those who are making a commitment to academic excellence and achievement. They have been holding academic signing days all over the state of Wyoming and were pleased to announce they would be holding one in Lusk as well.
Niobrara County High School (NCHS) senior Bryn Bruch signed her academic letter of intent with the University of Wyoming during a signing ceremony on Monday.
NCHS alumni Ian Zerbe who works for the University of Wyoming was there representing UW. He stated he was excited and proud to have another Niobrara alumni joining the UW student body.
Bruch was raised in Niobrara county on her parent’s ranch East of Lusk. She has been active in 4-H from a young age receiving many awards in fabric and fashion and with her market lamb projects. UW extension agent Kellie Chichester was present to support Bruch. She is one of the first 4-H members that has gone on to UW that Chichester has worked with.
Volleyball, basketball, track, FBLA, FFA and 4-H are just a few of the activities that Bruch is active in. She has achieved academic letters, and won multiple awards are the regional and state levels in many of her activities.
Bruch will be attending UW in the fall to focus on pre-med.
