LUSK – Carol Yvonne (Garhart) Lambert, 78, a long-time resident of the Lusk/Manville area, passed from this life on Monday, April 6, 2020, at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2020, at the Niobrara County Fairgrounds.

Carol was born in Lance Creek, on April 19, 1941, and lived there until the family moved to Manville. Life took her to Denver, Colo., where she married and had five children.

Meeker, Colo., is where she met and married the love of her life.  She became Mrs. Jack Lambert on Nov. 21, 1981.  After years of working in Dinosaur, Colo., at the elementary school as a cook, Carol retired and they moved to Montrose, Colo., where Jack continued in the construction field until he retired in 1997.

In 1997 they moved to Manville to be close to her family and lived on the old homestead, until June 2015, when the Niobrara County flood took their home. They were able to find a home in Lusk, where they settled down.

Carol was a founding member of the New Life in Christ Baptist Church in Lusk, where everyone called Carol “grandma.” She was also part of the Women’s Ministry - Ladies Missionary Fellowship and Vacation Bible School.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Nila, Joann and Marcia; her brother Daryl; her daughter Bobbi; her son Jamie; and her grandsons, Jason and Shannon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials/donations may be made in Carol Lambert’s memory to Niobrara County Senior Center.
