Celebrating Local Artists: Jaden Stauffer

Lusk Elementary/Middle School student Jaden Stauffer completed Celebrating Local Artists presented by the library for 2017 with her reception held on December 13. Stauffer, the daughter of Chad and Kristen Stauffer, is an eighth grade student who, per her statement on her poster, “Fell in love with photography while capturing the Wyoming way of life”. From the first of December, and set to run the month through, Stauffer’s images were hung on the same wall as Carla Stroh’s, Barbara Orr’s, and Jessica Frye’s; past debuted artists for this session. “I think it’s pretty cool” says Stauffer of the experience to showcase her photography. Interested in a range of topics from livestock and wildlife to nature, flowers, and landscapes, Stauffer adds that right now, her photography is a hobby but that she may be interested in pursuing a college degree in the subject. Currently, Stauffer maintains her images on her Facebook site, “BarSBar Photography” and also owns her own website, https://wyostauffer.wix.com/-s-photography; it is this site where Stauffer sells her work. Active in her school, Stauffer’s statement claims that “When I’m not taking pictures, you can find me at any middle school sport event that I am in”.
