Christmas Bazaar a success in spite of weather

Posted

The Niobrara County Homemaker’s Annual Christmas Bazaar went off without a hitch in spite of predicted winter storms and snow. As always, head organizer Donna Hanson was busy anticipating the needs of both vendors and potential shoppers. In anticipation of reduced attendance because of predicted winter weather Donna allowed vendors to set up and then opened the bazaar for shoppers at 6pm on Friday night. This was the first time for an “Early Bird” option for shopping and local shoppers definitely took advantage of this opportunity. A strong turnout on Friday night was encouraging and Donna states that the Homemaker’s will definitely consider making this an option 2-day event for vendors. When speaking with most vendors they felt that inspire of the weather their business was at or above previous years. While some vendors were missed due to the weather, Donna anticipates another well-attended bazaar next year and would like to remind ALL vendors, previous and new to make sure they contact her to get their name on the list for next year. As always it will be the second Saturday in December.
