The Lusk Cloverbuds will meet come wind or rain or sleet or snow! After two postponed meetings due to weather they met once in January and were also able to have a (albeit late) meeting in February. The January meeting was held on the 29th. Carrie Goddard and Shirley Zumbrunnen passed the baton of leadership to the new Cloverbuds leaders, Crystal Olson, Krystal Peterson and Heather Goddard. At the January meeting members learned about magnetism and created “flying” birds using magnets and paperclips. The February meeting included some local volunteers from the Homemakers Club who helped the members sew their own pillowcases. Cloverbuds will also meet in March, April and May. They plan to do a leather craft project with Cow Camp Saddlery owners Mark and Lori Barcus, a painting project with local artist and art teacher Roxanne Fish and one more agriculture-based project this spring. There has also been discussion of a community service project in May. If you would like to know more about Cloverbuds or the meetings please contact the County Extension office at (307) 334-3534.
