 The court docket for Judge Dennis C. Meier on March 28, 2019, in the Circuit Court of the Eighth Judicial District of and for Niobrara County. Several names on the docket for the day, Ryan Gilkey appeared for his arraignment on the charge of possession of controlled substance-plant 3oz or less. Gilkey pleaded not guilty and requested a public defender for the case. A bench trial has been set for May 30, 2019 at 10 a.m. In the mean time Gilkey is released on an unsecured $1000 bond, he is to not possess or consume any illegal substances and keep address and phone number current with the court.

Gabriel Miller also appeared for the charge of Possession of controlled substance-plant 3oz or less. Miller entered a plea of not guilty and requested a public defender. Miller was also scheduled for bench trial on May 30 at 10 a.m. Miller was released on a $1000 unsecured bond. He is also required not to possess or consume any illegal substances and keep his address and phone number current with the court.

Victor Sanchez did not appear in court on the charge of Drive vehicle with in a single lane, and no valid drivers license. A Bench Warrant was issued for his arrest.

Matthew Wamsley appeared before Judge Meier on the charge of failure to obey traffic control device. Wamsley plead not guilty and asked did not request representation for his case. Wamsley’s case is scheduled for a bench trial on May 30 at 10 a.m. He was released on an OR bond.

Michael E. Loerch appeared for his bench trial on two charges; vehicle exceeding 30 MPH in urban district and possession of controlled substance 3oz or less. A plea agreement was reached between the state and Loerch’s attorney, in exchange for guilty plea with possession charge, it will be held in abeyance upon completion of twelve months probation, $200 victims crime fund, $50 drug surcharge, $55 court costs, $520 fines.

Jennifer L. Seiler appeared for her bench trial, where she entered a change of plea. She entered a guilty plea and was fined $500, 30 days in jail, suspended. $50 drug surcharge, $55 court costs, and $200 victims crime fund. She will serve six months unsupervised probation, where she must follow standard conditions and pay her fines within those six months.

Thomasena Schrader appeared in court on a bond revocation stating that she violated her current conditions and tested positive for marijuana during one of her random tests. Schrader’s bond and probation were revoked and reinstated, and she and a $250 fine was reinstated. She was released, following her request for her random testing to be done in Converse County as that is where she resides and works.
