CASPER – Forty plus people from Niobrara County converged on Casper the weekend of May 1, 2021 to compete in the state dart tournament. In the words of the tournament coordinators, they are always glad to see Niobrara County arrive as they always give a great showing and generally place in numerous categories. Needless to say, our representatives didn’t fail this year. Several teams placed in different divisions as well as singles and pairs.
Local winners are:
Jeff Simonsen and Coe LeLeux – First in 01
Jeff Simonsen, Coe LeLeux and Desi LeLeux – First in Trios
Coe and Desi Leleux, Tabitha Nelson and Sheila Youngquist – First Team Cricket, Division 6
Lish and Larry Murphy, Dawn Scott and Justin Collins – First Team Cricket, Division 7
Kim and Shawn Bruegger, Chuck Sides and Billy Hite – Second Team Cricket, Division 7
Dakota Clark, Colby Eddy, Weldon Tschacher and Kassidy Bruegger – Third Team Cricket, Division 7
Eva Tackett and Michelle Gross – Fourth in Doubles
Justin Collins – Second in Singles, Cricket
This activity may have started out small years ago but has grown into a statewide competition. It is a chance to get together with other players, renew friendships, and have a good weekend that is entertaining as well as serious. We are proud to send the best of the best to state each year and hope it continues.
