CASPER – Dee Lynn Miller was born Mar. 21, 1970 in Denver and died Oct. 6, in Casper. 

Dee was raised by the family matriarch, Carrie Miller and a large and colorful extended family.  Janice Marie Miller Henry, Leslie Miller, Ralph Miller, Alan Miller and April Miller Pena.

Included in the clan was Tennille and Anthony Henry. She was raised in Stockton, Calif. and moved to Lusk when she was 15.
Dee married Bruce Himes in 1989 in Hot Springs, S.D.

To this union three children were born. Samantha Lynn, Daniel Howard and Troy Edward.
Dee loved to travel. She made her life in Cheyenne, Oregon, Casper, Sheridan and Austin, Texas.

She made her living in hospitality and food service. She took pride in her craft and taught her daughter the finer points of customer service. She worked hard and passed that on to the best of her ability.

Her smile would light up the room and her laughter was contagious. She felt joy in the simple things in life. She developed a special bond with her oldest granddaughter Angelina. 

Dee was preceded in death by Carrie Miller, Janice Henry, Leslie Miller and Alan Miller. She is survived by Ralph Miller, April Pena (Steve), Ethan, Evan and Emmily Pena, Tennille Henry (LD Stone), Deneese and James Stone, Anthony Henry, Kyler Henry, Samantha (Cody Schumacher), Angelina Jensen, Madison Hespe and Gunner Miller, Danimal,  (Mauricca) and Wylie Howard Himes and Troy (Griffith) and Thea Nichole Himes.

There will be a gathering for family and friends Oct. 24 at the Lusk Elks Lodge at 1 p.m. in Lusk.
