Funeral services for Dustin Scott Bruegger, 24, were held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Fort Reno Building at the Wyoming State Fairgrounds in Douglas, Wyoming with Father Bill Hill of the Saint James Catholic Church officiating.  A Vigil for the Deceased was held at 7:00 P.M. Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Gorman Funeral Homes-Converse Chapel.  Interment was in the Douglas Park Cemetery.  A celebration of life followed immediately in the Yard at the LaBonte.

From the time he was born on Saturday, August 14, 1993, in Douglas, Wyoming the son of Tim E. and JoAnn (Golkowski) Bruegger, until his recent death on Saturday, February 3, 2018, Dustin lived a short, yet, full life. He began life as an (often described) “tornado” and grew into a stoic young man with few words. When he did speak, his witty charm shone through his big, kind heart. He always had a twinkle in his eye and a helping hand available. He was kind to all. He loved all animals and all animals loved him.

He was a graduate of Douglas High School followed by Casper College where he received a degree in Diesel Engineering.  But, his true calling was working on the family ranch in Lost Springs. He grew up on the ranch with his brother, Justin, and you wouldn’t find one Bruegger boy without the other. They would hunt, ride dirt bikes, ride horses, explore and run wild among the hills of the ranch.

Dustin is survived by his loving mother, JoAnn (Mike) O’Brien of Douglas; father, Tim E. (Lori) Bruegger of Lost Springs, Wyoming; sister, Jennifer (Ed) Castro, nieces Miley Mott and Gina Castro of Vancouver, Washington; brother, Justin Bruegger of Douglas; maternal grandparents, Rufina and Terry Golkowski of Casper, Wyoming; and paternal grandparents, Ed and Rona Bruegger of Lost Springs.

A memorial in Dustin’s name to the Converse County Trap Club in care of the Converse County Bank, P.O. Box 689, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 would be appreciated by the family.

Serving as pallbearers were Tyler Wilson, Josh Courdret, Tel Dyer, Tyler Dulmus, Tac Dysart, Ty Dysart, Zack Hershley, Kenny Hinckley, and Eddie Bryde.

The Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel of Douglas, Wyoming was in charge of the arrangements.
