Esther Garhart Moore

Esther Garhart Moore, born Jan. 29, 1934, passed away Sept. 22, 2018, in Newcastle, Wyo. 

Esther was born in Lusk, Wyo., and grew up in the country near Lance Creek, Wyo. She met her husband to be, Raymond Moore, in Lance Creek. They married Nov. 6, 1949. Added to this union was their children, Allan, Linda, Susan, and Ricky.

Raymond’s work took them to many places in Wyoming, but much of their married life was in Osage, Wyo., and Lance Creek. 

Esther was a stay-at-home mom much of her life, but she also worked several years in food service. She was an avid Bible student, wearing out many Bibles in her life and living in close relationship with her Savior. 

Esther cared for 27 foster children over the years. She taught 4-H and was active in her community, always there and willing to help others. 

Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Moore; her parents Leonard and Opal Garhart; brothers, Eugene and Donald Garhart; sister, Marjorie (Joe) Wood; and grandson, Brian Lee Moore. 

She is survived by her children, Allan (Lorraine) Moore, Linda (Michael) Zeimet, Susan (Dwight) Hull, and Ricky (Paula) Moore; grandchildren, Jana (Jake) Sams, Matthew (Michelle) Hubbard, Kristi (Scott) Krogman, Lori (Brian) Kolczak, Sage (Magon) Cook, Hannah (Dol) Kimbro, Kelsey Hull, and Jimmy Casmano; 16 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Virginia Garhart and Barbra Garhart; and a loving extended family.

Services were Sept. 27 at Kitty Moats Complex in Osage, with graveside services and interment at the Garhart Family Cemetery in Osage.
