Are you a first time canner or do you need a refresher course on food preservation? If you are in either situation, please join us for the Food Preservation 101 Mini Course- two hands-on workshops for the new home canner or a great refresher course for the experienced canner. The workshops will be taught by UW Extension Nutrition and Food Safety Educator, Denise Smith and will be held at the Niobrara County Fairgrounds.
The schedule for the two workshops will be: September 12th- Water Bath Canning 5:30-8:00 p.m. and September 26th- Jams and Jellies 5:30-8:00 p.m. Sponsored by UW Extension. Cost is $10.00 per workshop Class participants must pre-register for each workshop by calling: Extension Office at 334-3534
Please register for first class by Fri., Sept. 8 and second class by Fri., Sept. 22, so adequate supplies can be purchased. Class size is limited, so register early.
