Golf Team spring season under way even if spring isn't

Posted

The Tiger Golf Team got their spring season under way on a windy day in Douglas playing with some of the top 3A and 4A golfers from this side of the state.  Scoring conditions were extremely difficult but the course was in excellent condition and it was a good experience for all of our golfers to play a full round.  The boys team finished with a team score of 475.  Micah Shaner led the way with a score of 108.  The rest of the team’s scores were tightly bunched with Ben Eiden and Ryan Bruegger shooting 122 and Tanner Carpenter and Caleb Kremers coming in with rounds of 123.

The girls team finished with a team score of 381.  Jozalyn Potter led the way with a score of 125 which was easily her best tournament score of her young career.  Makayla Waldock and Ashley Christianson shot 128, Makena Engelker shot 131 and Lucy Ceaglske finished with a score of 148.

The team will travel to the Sundance Invite on Friday, April 20th and then play in the Moorcroft Invite on Saturday, April 21.
