In appreciation of military service, a Military Honor Quilt was presented to Cpl. Travis Smith by Jane Filener at Lickety Stitch Quilt Shop in Lusk on Thursday, August 4. Cpl. Smith served in the Army National Guard from October 2014 through October of 2021 and, during that time, was deployed to Kosovo. He is currently residing in Casper. The quilt was made by Mildred Lewis of Lusk. Local quilters make quilts for members of the armed services as a token of appreciation of their service to the United States of America.
