The Town Council of the Town of Lusk, Wyoming met on Thursday September 13, 2018 to interview applicants for the Chief of Police position. Members present were Mayor Doug Lytle, Council Members Becky Blackburn, Calvin Carstensen, Tom Dooper, and Dean Nelson. Also present were Dennis Meier Town Attorney, and Linda Frye Clerk/Treasurer.
Mayor Lytle adjorned into executive session due to personnel matters, which was conducting three interviews for the Chief of Police position. Persons being interview were Officer Jay Owren, Officer Jacob Gordon, and Justin Bo Krein.
The Council reconvened into regular session and Mayor Lytle announced the appointment of Justin Bo Krein as the new Chief of Police pending a background check and psychological evaluation. Council Members Blackburn, Carstensen, Nelson, and Dooper approved the appointment.
