LUSK – A century ago, the Lusk and Niobrara County communities were beneficiaries of the largess of philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, who’s generosity built more than 2,500 libraries across the country.
This week, the library will celebrate that 100-year milestone with an open house, set for noon to 7 p.m. today (Wednesday). The library and the local Chamber of Commerce will also host a Business After Hours to celebrate the event, starting a 5 p.m.
The public is invited to attend.
Thursday, Sept. 19: Afterschool program for grades 3-6 at the library
Friday, Sept. 20: Movie, “Aladdin” at the library at 1:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 24: Storyhour at the library at 10 a.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 24: Afterschool program for grades K-2 at the library
Wednesday, Sept. 25: Book Art Folding Class at the library at 5:30 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 26: Krispy Kreme Doughnuts at the library at 7:30 a.m.
Thursday, Sept. 26: Afterschool program for grades 3-6 at the library
Friday, Sept. 27: Magic Show at the library at 1:30 p.m.
