The sun is a big red ball in the sky lately. No, its not after effects of the eclipse, it’s due to the fact that there are massive wildfires burning in the western part of the United States According to the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) website, there are 77 large fires that have burned more than 1.4 million acres. Large fires burning north and west of us have contributed to the severe haziness we are experiencing here in Niobrara County.
