“The Eclipse has been an amazing event for our town,” said Postmaster Rhonda White. “And the Total Eclipse: Forever stamp put us right in the middle of the plans. We are thankful for all the people visiting our town for the event.”
Retail Associate Cindy Starke sold stamps and envelopes with the special postmark at the County Fairgrounds.
“I often was selling as fast as I could,” said Starke. “This has been fun.”
The Special Postmark is only available until Sept. 21 and can be applied to any First-Class mailpiece.
Sheets of Solar Eclipse Forever Stamps, which change their color with the heat of a finger, are still available as long as supplies last.
