Lots of color on the Lights of Love Tree

With the shortest day of the year just gone by, the time to participate in the Lights of Love is drawing near.  Readers are urged to drive by the Lights of Tree, which is beautifully covered with a variety of colors.  The Niobrara Hospital Auxiliary is grateful for those who give to this project.  The list of donated projects and equipment given to the local Rawhide Clinic and  Niobrara Community Hospital is long and amazing.

Clay and Kathy Coon selected a purple light to remember Larry Solberg. Julie Dunn also requested a purple light in remembrance of her parents and a green light to remember Larry Solberg. Barb Penfield, of Douglas, asked for a green light to shine for Jamie Penfield.  Jim and Michelle Kruse remembered special people in their lives; A.D. Kruse, Hazel Kruse, Paul Kruse and Linda Kruse with four lovely gold lights, one for each.  Randisue Davis chose another gold light for Tessie Townsend and yet another for Earl Townsend and stated “Thank you” to the Hospital Auxiliary for making the tributes possible.

Phyllis Hahn chose two purple lights to enhance the Lights of Love Tree on the corner by Niobrara Community Hospital.  The first purple light is in memory of her parents, Gene and Marie Willson, and her in-laws, Reuben and Ruby Hahn and the second purple light for her late husband, Merle, and all family members no longer living, who have contributed to her life in many ways.  The last light, red, represents appreciation for the staff in the Rawhide Clinic and the Niobrara Community Hospital, who provide medical care for all of us.
