LUSK- How have the people and opportunities at NCHS helped you grow and achieve success? The teachers and the community have always pushed me to excel in both sports and academically by supporting through various events.
What responsibilities and activities outside of school have added to your success as a person and student? My responsibilities at home are cooking meals, laundry, house cleaning, etc. These all taught me to be independent and self-sufficient as well.
In what ways have you contributed your talents to NCHS? Through Volleyball, Audition Choir, National Honor Society, FFA, FBLA, BB Manager.
What are your future goals - personal, educational and professional? Go to Hastings College, get a Bachelors in Exercise Science with a minor in Strength and Conditioning. After college I plan on getting a job as a Strength & Conditioning Coach.
How do you plan to contribute to your community in the future? I plan to come back and visit but do not plan to be living here.
What are some of your interests and hobbies outside of school?
I enjoy shopping, it’s my stress reliever. I also enjoy spending time with family and true friends!
Who are your parents and siblings? Jyl Abbott, Mother, Jaden Abbott, Brother.
Favorite Lusk school memory... so far? Thinking about graduation.
If I could change anything in Lusk, what would it be? I would change that there is not a place for kids to hang out! I would add a rec center that has a gym, weight room, pool, and a bowling alley. This would give kids and families a fun place to hang out and stay out of trouble.
