The 2018 version of Tiger Track travels to the Chadron Indoor Track Meet on Saturday to open the season.

The girls hope to build upon the success of last year’s 4th place campaign at State.  The girls currently have 6 returning letter winners and 16 athletes out including 4 returning State qualifiers in seniors Miranda Gilkey and Jalyn McDaniel; and juniors Taylor Gaukel and Mackenzie Lyons.  Both Gaukel and Gilkey were also All State last season and look to continue their success.

Reygan Molzahn and Jhuritzy Tena round out the senior girls along with junior Esmeralda Caldera.  Sophomores include Allison Williams and Lily Bokowski.  The freshmen girls make up the majority of the girls’ roster including Danni Larson, Sierra Lemons, Renae Marker, Anna Richardson, Courtney Rowley, Riley Shaw, and Deanna West.

The 2018 boys also look to have a successful season returning 4 state qualifiers and 11 letter winners.  Senior Traylin Bruegger and junior Alec Penfield both look to place at State again while senior Jake Heil and junior Teagan Tschacher try to bring home some hardware.

The other senior boys include Stephan Daniels, William Fish, and Kaden Gaukel.  The juniors include Jacob Miller and Zach Vandeberg.  The largest group is the sophomores that include Tyler Basile, Kade Clark, Casey Kremers, Damien Molzahn, Wyatt Stauffer, and James Stone.  The freshmen are Jasper Caldera, Aric Eaton, and Drake Lamp.

The tracksters will compete in their first outdoor meet the weekend of March 24 and will host the Dennis Zowada Invite on April 28 at NCHS.
