LUSK- The residents of Lusk turned out Tuesday, May 8 to determine the leadership of our town.
Results are Douglas E. Lytle, 289, Pete Pier, 196 and Thomas Bleming, 9. Write in candidate Stuart Larson received one vote. Lytle will serve for the next four years as mayor. Two, four-year council seats will be occupied by Calvin Carstensen, 269 and incumbent, Rebecca Blackburn, 222. R. Dean Nelson garnered 217 votes, Edward Tirado, 165 and Brandie Collins, 66. The sole two-year council position will be filled by Thomas D. Dooper, 342. Lawrence Pavone Jr. received 98 votes, Sebastian Ochs,34 and write in candidate Richard Pullen, 1.
MANVILLE- The Town of Manville chose Rola Ross for their Mayor for the next four years. Ross received 27 votes against Richard Schroeder’s 19. For Manville Town Council Darlene Adams garnered 36 ballots and Billy Hite, 24 to secure their seats for four years. There were two write in council candidates, Linda Mitts, 16 and Tim Ross, 8.
VAN TASSELL-The four-year term Mayor for the community of Van Tassell will be William Matthews, 11 votes to opponent Cody Bruegger with 7. Four-year term council seats will be occupied by Dale Miller, 14 and write in candidate Terry Davis, 13. Also running were Chris Wikens with one vote, write in candidates Donna Lloyd, 1 and Shelly Ladwig, 3. Both two-year council seat contenders were write ins with Shelly Ladwig, 10, prevailing over Lacey Willey with 6.
