LUSK – Patricia Dian (Traphagan) Soria, 84, of Brea, California, passed away January 27, 2020, from heart failure. Patricia was born October 1,1935, in Sterling, Colorado and was raised in Lance Creek by parents Joe and Faye Traphagan. She graduated from Manville High School.

In 1958, she moved away to live in California. She married Al Trujillo in 1959 and had four children: Dennis Trujillo, Anthony Trujillo, Gregory Trujillo and Margaret Trujillo. Unfortunately, all children but Dennis passed away at, or shortly after birth. 

Patricia was a nurse for much of her career as she loved helping people. She liked to travel and visit places like Hawaii and all over California. Like her mother, she loved cats and always had one as a companion. In 1986, she married Edward Soria and they moved to Arizona to enjoy the lifestyle and warm weather there. Patricia returned back to California in 2018 to live near
her son. 

A funeral mass will be held Saturday, May 29, 2021, at 1 p.m. at St. Leo Catholic Church in Lusk followed by a private burial at the Lusk Municipal Cemetery.

Patricia is survived by her son Dennis Trujillo and his wife Adeline, her two granddaughters Madeline Trujillo and Michaela Trujillo, sister Joe Ellen Landkamer and her husband Lew, nieces Lori Ann, Lisa Jo, and Teresa Lea, and nieces Diana Bayne, John Bayne, Julie and Michael Davis. 

She was predeceased by her parents. She will be honored along with her sister, Marjorie Merchen, who passed away in October of 2020.
