Niobrara County Hospital Auxiliary
October 8, 2019
Present: Randi Ross, Phyllis Hahn, Marilyn Allbright, Anna May Oliver and Carolyn Pflughoeft

Treasurer’s Report: Given by Randi. She is checking to see if the Engebretsen scholarship funds would be available for use by those taking the CNA classes. Also, the booth for the Christmas Bazaar has been reserved ($25).
Old Business: The bills for the updates in the Activity Room have all been paid. Thank you to all who helped bake cookies and assist at the recent blood draw. Marilyn and Anna May will be posting flyers about the Christmas greens sale and an article is forthcoming in the local paper. Orders and money are due Oct. 31.
Hospital Report: There are rooms open in the ECF. New signage is on order reflecting the new name of “Prairie Pines” for the ECF.
New Business: The President and Secretary positions are up for election with their 2-year terms beginning in January of 2020. Although Randi can serve one more two-year term, Carolyn cannot serve as secretary again. We will vote on these positions at the November meeting.  Carolyn read a thank you note from the Silver Springs Center for Excellence, thanking the Auxiliary for the cookies at their recent fundraiser. Randi will look into replacing the porch cushions for the South porch of the facility. Anna May and Marilyn will confirm that we are able to have the greens order delivered to the Senior Center as in the past. Finally, a big THANK YOU to Elaine Griffith and Monika Davies for watering and tending the facility’s outdoor flowerpots. This is a lot of work, but makes such a big difference and is enjoyed by so many...thank you ladies!
The next meeting will be Tuesday, November 12 at 5:00 PM.
