The County Commissioners’ Special Meeting was called to order on this date at 3:00 p.m. Those present were Chairman Patrick H. Wade, Vice-Chair John Midkiff, Commissioner Elaine Griffith, and County Clerk Becky L. Freeman. County Attorney Anne Wasserburger was in attendance by phone. Members of the audience were Heather Goddard with The Lusk Herald.
The purpose of the special meeting was to discuss the appointment of a special prosecutor in an upcoming criminal matter due to a conflict of interest on behalf of the County Attorney.
Executive Session- Vice Chairman Midkiff moved to enter into executive session at 3:03 p.m. to discuss a personnel matter and an ongoing criminal investigation. Commissioner Griffith seconded, motion carried.
Vice Chairman Midkiff moved to leave executive session at 3:23 p.m. Commissioner Griffith seconded, motion carried. No action was taken.
Due to an ongoing criminal investigation, the Commissioners chose not to make any appointment at this time. Appointment will be re-examined at a later date.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
