EMERGENCY TOWN COUNCIL MEETING
TOWN OF LUSK
MARCH 19, 2020
Mayor Doug Lytle called an Emergency Council Meeting to address the “Statewide Public Health Order” by Governor Mark Gordon. The meeting took place in the Council Chambers of Town Hall on March 19, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.
Present were Mayor Lytle, Council Members Tom Dooper and Becky Blackburn, Chief Bo Krein, Director of Public Works Todd Skrukrud, Clerk/Treasurer Linda Frye. Joining the meeting by phone were Council Members Calvin Carstensen and Dean Nelson, and Town Attorney Dennis Meier.
Mayor Lytle opened the meeting and explained that Governor Gordon in an effort to stop the spread of the coronavirus, the Wyoming Department of Health finds it necessary to implement emergency measures to close all restaurants, bars, theaters, gymnasiums, child care facilities, K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and trade schools in the State of Wyoming. There was a discussion on how this would affect the community and small businesses. Attorney Meier was asked how this would be enforced. It was stated that businesses could do pickup and delivery. Chief Krein read WY State Statute 35-4-101 concerning rules of enforcement. The Town will enforce as the Governor mandates.
Councilmember Dooper moved, second by Councilmember Blackburn to move into executive session for personnel matters at 6:50 p.m. MOTION CARRIED.
