Rawhide FFA chapter holds annual end of the year banquet

As the 2016-2017 school year which was a great success.  The Rawhide FFA chapter held its annual end of the year banquet.   At the banquet we recognized the teams that competed at state.  All of the teams did really well.  The teams and their members are: Horse: Kylie Strauch, Aspen Whinnery, Rylee Matthews, and Peyton Kottwitz;  Livestock: Sadie Sturman, Garrett Wurdeman, Monte Wade, and Kylie Strauch;  Poultry: Mattie Pfister, Amanda Smith, Tanner Carpenter, and Riley Ross;  Environmental and Natural Resources: Makayla Waldock, Allison Williams, Trisha Hales, and Mathilda Schmidt;  Meats: Kylie Strauch and Meghan Mosley;  Mechanics: Clayton Williams, Monte Wade, Garrett Dixon, and Cole Mellott.   At the closing session Clayton Williams received an award on behalf of the Mechanics team for being the High Individual in Machinery and Equipment.  

At the banquet the following members received their Greenhand award: Tanner Carpenter, Kade Clark, Rylee Matthews, Miranda Mosley, Wyatt Stauffer, Allison Williams, Peyton Kottwitz, Kylie Strauch, Sadie Sturman, Clayton Williams, Traylin Bruegger, Kaden Gaukel, Trisha Hales, Jalyn McDaniel, Meghan Mosley, Amanda Smith, Cole Mellott, Makayla Waldock, Garrett Wurdeman, Garett Dixon, Kayla Pena, Mattie Pfister, Riley Ross, Mathilda Schmidt, and Monte Wade.  The following community members also received the Honorary Member award for helping our chapter out this year: Gregg Matney, Jason Zumbrunnen, Buttons York, Nila Wilhelm, Jessie Reed, Tandy Dockery, Cheryl Lund, Cara Bandalos, Josh Keller, Terri Goddard, and Robyn Heth.  The day before the banquet, officer interviews for those 2017-2018 officers.There were nine applicants who were asked several questions by our interview team.  From the nine, six were chosen by our advisor Mr. Hubbard put each of those individuals into the offices he thought they would fit best.  The officers for the 2017-2018 school year are:  President: Cole Mellott; Vice President: Clayton Williams; Treasurer: Kylie Strauch; Secretary: Allison Williams; Reporter: Peyton Kottwitz; and Sentinel: Sadie Sturman.  We would like to thank Terri Goddard for cooking the meal for us and all those in the community who have helped and supported us throughout the year.  We would also like to thank Kellie Chichester and Tandy Dockery for helping with the interviews.
