LUSK – 2019. January. The “New Year”. Whichever way it’s referred to, following New Year’s Eve and midnight, after the celebration is over and the ball has dropped, a sinking feeling forms concerning resolutions. But not all resolutions are bad. Some like to stay away from resolutions all together, some like the challenge of setting year-long goals; both are great. If you are someone who likes to set resolutions or who wants to give it a try this year, check out some of these tips that could help you be more successful.
1. Realistic. Make sure your New Year’s Resolution is Realistic.
Maybe you would like to make some more money this year; a small side job could do that. Maybe you would like to travel more, that’s great
2. Easy. Give yourself one resolution that you could accomplish every day with ease. Maybe you would like to drink more water. Start every morning with a bottle of water. There, done. You have accomplished your resolution even before you’ve begun work for the day.
Setting one resolution that is easy and takes little time to do, could make you feel accomplished when it comes to your resolutions and excited about fulfilling other ones.
3. Specific. Long drawn-out resolutions can get tangled and messy. Try staying specific so you know exactly what your expectations are. Maybe you want to read more books. That’s wonderful; how many? Being specific with your goals sets out a more organized and structured path.
Resolutions don’t have to be messy and carry a looming feeling. They can be fun and a great way to achieve some goals over the course of the year. If you decide to try a resolution this year, good luck.
