Roy Joe Gatzemeyer, 81, of Sheridan, WY passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana.  He was born August 30, 1936 in Lusk, Wyoming to Leonard O. and Frances Ann (Rogers) Gatzemeyer.  

He served in the Wyoming National Guard from 1953-1956 while in high school. Upon graduation from Lusk High School in the class of 1955, Joe enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps where he served for 11 years during the Vietnam War. 

Joe worked as a service station attendant and mechanic.  He also, worked in building maintenance for three years at Eaton’s Ranch in Sheridan, Wyoming and retired in 1998.  

He was an avid reader, loved fishing, camping, woodworking and tinkering.  Joe enjoyed taking things apart just to see how they worked.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Richard D. Moss. Joe is survived by his brother, William D. Moss of Story, WY; nephew, Vincent D. Moss of Sheridan, WY; and several cousins in Cheyenne, Lusk, Laramie and Gillette, WY.
