LUSK – The heat didn’t keep the 72 entries of classic cars and motorcycles from convening at the Crossroads Show & Shine on Saturday, July 13.
The winner of the farthest miles traveled was Bruce Cummins from Colorado Springs traveling 340 miles. He won an Everett Creeper donated by JP Oil. Bruce entered a 1963 Chevy Corvette. He also was the winner of the $50 in the Keg of Cash.
The 3 lucky show entries that drew cards to win cash were:
1st place Car #41 1969 Chevy Camaro owned by Herald Allbright winning $302.50
2nd place Car #45 1985 Chevy El Camino owned by Daryl Thomas winning $181.50
3rd place Car # 50 2015 Ford S-750 owned by Jordan Auto (Jim Jordan) winning $121.00
50 Poker Cards bought for the 50/50 Walking Poker Run. The winner of $144.00 was Kim McAuley, from Wheatland Wyoming with a 10 High Flush. She had a 2014 Chevy Camaro entered in the car show. With the 50/50 Walking Poker Run money and $165.00 in donations the car club raised $309.00 for the Niobrara County Hospital Auxiliary.
The car club would like to thank everyone who supported the 2019 Show and Shine. The sponsors who donated money, door prizes, equipment, time and to all the participants who helped make the show a great success.
