NIOBRARA COUNTY – Suzanne ‘Suzie’ Marie Price passed away March 19, 2020 at Niobrara Community Hospital in Lusk.  She was 77.

Suzie was born in the Leona Dout Maternity Hospital in Harrison, Neb., on Dec. 22, 1942, to Frances (Henry) and Evan Worley.  She grew up in Harrison and graduated from Niobrara County High School in 1961.  She married Richard ‘Dick’ Price on June 16, 1963, in Lusk and they had three sons:  Tim, Rich and Tom.

Suzie was employed at Gamble’s for many years and was one of the original employees at the Wyoming Women’s Center in Lusk.  She was a talented woman in many areas.  She loved refinishing furniture and knew her way around all power tools.  She sewed and knitted, painted furniture, and painted or wallpapered her own homes as well as for anyone else who needed her.  She and her longtime friend Lenore Larsen, often joked about all the houses they had wallpapered, always leaving their names and the date written under the paper somewhere.  When they papered the bathroom in Suzie’s last home, they were so doubled over in laughter that neither of them could get up off the floor without help anymore, and that this would probably be their last job.  It was.

They also took many road trips in Lenore’s Buick Roadmaster, no doubt speeding at every opportunity and cigarette smoke billowing out of both their windows.  One of Suzie’s fondest memories was her early childhood in Harrison, particularly sitting on her Grandma Henry’s lap and time spent being spoiled by her uncles: Charles, John, and Hankie Henry, as well as time with her Eberspecher cousins.

Suzie is survived by her husband Dick; sons Tom (Jose) of Casper, and Rich of Palm Desert, Calif.; grandchildren Jordan, Cami, Dylan, Antonia and Joseph; her cousin Philip Henry of Harrison; and many other cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by parents Frances (Henry) and Evan Worley, and son Timothy Price.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Pier Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
