LUSK- The Tigers started the 2A season off with a bang on Friday at the Sundance Country Club with two individual champions and a team champion. Micah Shaner won his first individual title shooting an 82 and Mackenzie Lyons won the girls division with a 102. Makena Engelker shot a 107 for 2nd place overall and Joz Potter shot a 123 giving the girls the team title as well. For the boys, Ben Eiden shot a 109, Dalton Larson shot his best round with a 123 and Jayden Matthews continues to improve with a 138.
On Saturday the weather won out shortening the tournament to 9 holes at the Keyhole Country Club in Pine Haven. The Tigers continued their solid play with the Girls winning the team title again with Makena Engelker and Joz Potter, who took advantage of a hole out and two long putts, tying for 2nd and 3rd place with scores of 56. Mackenzie Lyons tied for 4th and 5th with a 57. Micah Shaner continued his consistent play with a 45 which tied him for 3rd and 4th place. Ben Eiden shot a 61, Jayden Matthews a 63 and Dalton Larson a 66.
The Tigers play a two day tournament this Friday and Saturday split between Newcastle on Friday and Upton on Saturday.
