LUSK- On Tuesday May 1st the Tiger Golfers traveled to Newcastle to play in a tournament sponsored by the Upton/Newcastle combined team. The weather held off and only got the players wet one time during the day. In the boys division, Micah Shaner continued his good play and tied for 4th place with a 97. Ryan Bruegger medaled for the first time tying for 10th with a 108 score. Tanner Carpenter is continuing to bring his score down and shot a 111 good for 13th place. Caleb Kremers finished in the top 20 with a 117 score and Ben Eiden shot a 124. The boys team score was good for third place behind the Moorcroft and Sundance teams.
In the girls division, Makena Engelker was back from being sick and finished tied for 7th with a 112 and Ashley Christianson finished 9th with a 119. Just missing medaling, Makayla Waldock continued her steady play with a 122. Joz Potter shot a 130 good for 14th place and Lucy Ceaglske shot a 141 in 17th place. The girls team score put them in 4th place just three strokes behind Sundance and 13 strokes behind Moorcroft.
The Tigers and Lady Tigers will continue this week with tournaments Friday at Torrington and Saturday at the Lusk Invitational.
