LUSK – Tommy Lee Sakala, 60, of Lusk passed away April 23, 2021 at Niobrara Health and Life Center. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday May 15, 2021 at the Congregational Church. 

Tom was born April 12, 1961 in Denver, Colo. to Elmer and Betty Sakala. He grew up ranching and farming. Tom attended Elementary School in Colorado and High School in Utah, before moving to Lusk. 

Tom met Jennifer at a local restaurant in Lusk, and the two were married Aug. 12, 1989. They soon started a family and had two daughters, Amber and Lisha. Together, the couple ran a carpentry business. When Tom was not working, he was an avid fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed striking up a conversation to any and every one while sharing a drink and playing a game of pool, cards, or dice. 

Tom is survived by his wife, Jennifer Sakala, daughters, Amber Boutwell (Stephen), Lisha Robeson (Brynn), grandchildren Conner Boutwell and Akley Robeson; his brother Elmer Sakala and family, sister, Vivian Fahy and family, along with numerous nieces and nephews. 

Tom was preceded in death by his mother and father. 

Cards may be sent to the family in lieu of flowers. 

There will be no graveside service.
