Niobrara County voters steadily made their way to the polls Tuesday to have their voices heard. The first ballots arrived at the courthouse at approximately 8:00 p.m. and the counting began. Of the six precincts reporting, 1,184 ballots were cast.

According to the Secretary of State’s Office, at the opening of the polls on November 6, 61,073 absentee ballots had been cast throughout Wyoming either in-person or by mail out of a total of 64,752 that were sent out. Roughly 94% of those absentee ballots, sent by Wyoming’s county clerks, had been returned by mail or cast in-person. In Niobrara County 256 absentee ballots were sent out and 240 were returned.
All election results are unofficial until the State Canvassing Board meets to certify the results of the General Election on Wednesday, November 14th – eight days after the election.
