LUSK- Warden Catron of the Wyoming Women’s Center (WWC) is pleased to announce the promotion of Officer Chase Kupke to Corporal and Lt. George Kirkikis to Correctional Captain (Security Manager) at the WWC effective March 1, 2018.

Corporal Kupke originally joined the WWC as a Correctional Officer in November 2013. In December of 2014 Mr. Kupke continued his law enforcement career with the Douglas Police Department as a Peace Officer. In November of 2016 Mr. Kupke returned to the Wyoming Department of Corrections and the WWC as a Correctional Officer.

Corporal Kupke is a graduate of Eastern Wyoming College (Douglas, WY Campus) with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice.

In addition to his Corporal duties, Chase is a Field Training Officer along with being weapons qualified.  He prides himself on having a positive and optimistic attitude every day, and really enjoys helping and training new Correctional Officers.  The Women’s Center is confident that Chase will continue to have a positive effect on his shift and WWC.

Captain Kirkikis has been with the Wyoming Department of Corrections for ten years.  He started his career as a Correctional Officer at the Wyoming State Penitentiary in April of 2007 where he also began his work as a member of the SORT team.  In November of 2007 he was promoted to Sergeant and assumed the duties of the Training Sergeant where he trained new Officers and elevated to SORT Commander through June of 2009.  From July 2009 to April 2010 he moved into the role of a Shift Sergeant and continued working as a SORT Commander, Firearms Instructor and POST Instructor.  In April of 2010 he was promoted to Lieutenant. Through July of 2014 he was assigned the duties of Armory Lieutenant, Watch Commander, and Administrative Lieutenant. and became the  SORT Coordinator. He continued as a POST Instructor, Firearms Instructor, and became a member of the WDOC Firearms Committee.

In July of 2014 he transferred to the Wyoming Honor Farm as the only Lieutenant at the facility. He not only oversaw all of the facility operations but he continued his many roles as he did at WSP while adding the role of Training Lieutenant.

In August of 2017 Kirkikis transferred to WWC and has been the Shift three Commander since his arrival. He has instilled a great sense of pride and professionalism while leading his shift and we are proud of their accomplishments.

Prior to his career in Corrections, Captain Kirkikis earned the title of United States Marine where he honorably served his Country for 10 years.
