LUSK - Fun and safety aren’t exclusive, in fact, the Silvercliff Salvation Seekers, the Lusk chapter of the Christian Motorcyle Association (CMA) wants kids to know they often go hand-in-hand. Fun can often occur because you are being safe. The Lusk CMA held their first (hopefully annual) bike rodeo in Lusk on Saturday August 26.

A dunk tank, bouncy house and bike obstacle course were all part of the fun. They provided information on what the CMA is and what they do along with prizes for kids that participated. Held at North Park the bike rodeo was a free event for anyone to attend.

After a rainy night the weather was perfect and kids enjoyed showing off their bike riding skills through the timed events of the “rodeo” to compete for prizes in different age divisions.

Founding member Emmalee Shoup said, “We not only want people to know who we are but also be part of the community.”

The Silvercliff Salvation Seekers were founded in 2021. They are a local chapter of the CMA which has a mission to, “inspire our leaders and members to be the most organized, advanced, equipped, financially stable organization, full of integrity in the motorcycling industry and the Kingdom of God.”

The group hopes to hold the event every year and that next year will be even bigger and better.
