LANCE CREEK – Brad Kant, age 58, of Lance Creek, passed away on Sunday, January 12, at the Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper after a long battle with cancer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Pier Funeral Home in Lusk. Inter- ment will follow in the Lusk Cemetery.
Brad was born on December 15, 1966, in Douglas, to Walter “Pat” Kant and Francis “Fran” Kant.
Growing up in Lance Creek, Brad en- joyed riding dirt bikes with his broth- er Wally, who kept the local population on their toes. He started studying geology at a young age, which launched his career in the oil field, starting with Kant Oilfield Service.
After graduating from Lusk High School, he started his fulltime career in the oilfield.
They lived in Laramie for a short time, where he pursued a career as a Schwann driver. He enjoyed meeting new people through his job.
He was the official Operator of the Lance Creek Water District for sev- eral years. He was best known for his love of the oil field and his passion for geology. He cherished the time he spent with his son Alex and grand- son Kamden. Known for his kindness, sense of humor, and work ethic, he will be deeply missed by all who know him.
He is survived by his son Alex Kant, grandson Kamden Kant, brother Wally Kant, nieces Coral Ellsworth and Danielle Kant, uncle Mike Kant Sr, and several cousins and close friends.
Pier Funeral Home in Lusk is in charge of arrangements.
