Lady Tigers wrap busy week

CRAWFORD, NEB – The Niobrara County High School volleyball team traveled across the state line to face Crawford and Hemingford last Tuesday evening. Things didn’t go well as the Lady Tigers lost both matches. Scores and stats were unavailable at press time.

LINGLE – On Friday the Lady Ti- gers returned to Dogger Gym for the third time already this season. Lusk was in a pool with Upton, Guernsey-Sunrise and Rock River and took two of three matches to qualify for the Silver bracket.

Facing the Lady Bobcats first, NCHS lost a couple of close sets by the 25-17 and 25-23 scores. Up next was the Lady Vikings and Lusk took two of three sets. Scores went 25-12, 19-25, 15-13. The final match was against the Lady Longhorns and the Lady Tigers swept the match by 25-13 and 25-21 scores.

On Saturday the scene shifted to Yoder and NCHS fell to the home squad 25-15 and 25-6. Shortly after Lingle-Fort Laramie was the opponent and took the win by slim 25-21 and 27-25 scores. To wrap up the busy week, NCHS faced Riverside and fell by 25-15 and 25-13 margins.

This Saturday afternoon NCHS makes their 2025 Tiger Gym debut when Guernsey- Sunrise visits.
