LUSK – Many members of the community will be celebrating Easter at their respective churches this weekend. There will be sunrise services, potluck meals and sermons about how Christ has risen.

Local churches prepare for Easter services

LUSK – Many members of the community will be celebrating Easter at their respective churches this weekend. There will be sunrise services, potluck meals and sermons about how Christ has risen.

Among those hosting services will be St. Leo’s Catholic church will begin their celebration with Holy Thursday on April 17 at 5 p.m., Good Friday services will be April 18 at 12 p.m. and Easter services on April 20 at 11:30 a.m.

The First Baptist church will begin their Easter services with a sunrise service beginning at 7 a.m. and breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Easter service will begin at 9 a.m.

Prairie Hills church will be hosting their Easter services at 10 a.m.

The Lance Creek Church will be playing a movie on Friday, April 18, “Ordinary Angels”, on Sunday there will be sunrise services at 7:30 a.m. with a resurrection breakfast at 8:15 a.m. There will be an Easter Egg hunt for the children at 8:45 a.m. and then worship services at 9 a.m.

The Manville Community Church will have breakfast at 9 a.m. and Easter services at 10 a.m. For breakfast there will be bacon, sausage, eggs, hash browns and sour dough pancakes.

The Lusk Alliance Church will being having service on Good Friday at 6 p.m. and on Easter Sunday there will be a carry in brunch, so come hungry at 10 a.m.

The Congregational Church will be holding their normal services at 11 a.m.

All the Easter celebrations are open to the public.
