Lynn Dee Bader, 76 of Mobridge, South Dakota passed away on February 24, 2025, at Avantara Nursing Home in Pierre due to a battle with cancer and dementia.
Lynn was born in Denver, Colorado on February 16, 1949, to R. Lee Donley and Leona (Sherwood) Donley. Lynn met Butch Bader when Lynn was working at a funeral home in Casper, Wyoming. Butch owned a funeral home in Lusk, Wyoming at the time. She married Robert “Butch” Bader on November 21, 1990. Butch sold the Lusk funeral home in 1999. Lynn and Butch ended up working in funeral homes within Idaho, North Dakota, Texas, before returning to Wyoming and retiring. Lynn truly loved working with the families that they served.
Every year, Lynn would love to go to Johnny and Sharon Holloway’s cowboy reunion in Deadwood, South Dakota. Lynn was a fantastic cook and enjoyed entertaining people at anytime. She was best known for cooking and feeding 30 + people for Thanksgiving dinners!
Survivors are her daughter, Tonya (Mike) Speck of Arkansas; son, Joe Edwards of Colorado; husband, Butch Bader; stepchildren, Casey (Andrea) Bader and Effie Bader and (Clint) Bellflower both of Wyoming; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a great-granddaughter due in April. She is proceeded in death by her parents, R. Lee Donley and Leona Donley.
Visitation with Lynn’s family present, will be from 5:00PM-7:00PM Friday February 28, 2025, at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish, SD. Services will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will take place at the Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche. Memorials may be made to Timber Lake High School Rodeo Club.
