The Tiger track program hosted the Dennis Zowada Invite on Saturday at Gibson Stadium. Both teams finished in 5th place out of the 12 team field. The girls scored 68 points while the boys scored 60.

The Tiger track program hosted the Dennis Zowada Invite on Saturday at Gibson Stadium. Both teams finished in 5th place out of the 12 team field. The girls scored 68 points while the boys scored 60.
For the boys, Nathan Miller led the charge again placing in all three of his individual events. He continued to win in the high jump, clearing 6’ 2” on the day. He also won the silver medal in the long jump going 19’ 11” along with prequalifying in the 200 in a time of 23.77 to place 5th.
Raynce Brott continued to roll in the throwing events. He threw a personal best in the shot put of 47’ 5.5” to place 2nd. He also bombed a 142’ 6” in the discus to win that event.
Isaac Assman won silver in the 110 hurdles in a time of 16.34.
Jackson Smith continued to get stronger. He had personal best in both of his jumping events going just over 18’ in the long jump to place 6th and almost 38’ in triple jump to place 7th.
Brady Swisher also ran a personal best in the 400 in 57.57 to place 8th and Charlie Gaukel cleared 5’ 4” for 8th place in the high jump.
The boys’ 4x100 relay team of Miller, Swisher, Smith, Kayden Goodwin placed 4th in the prequalifying time of 47.60.
For the girls, thrower Kyra Willey had a great day on Senior Day. Willey threw a personal best and prequalifying mark of 33’ 3.5” in the shot put to win that event. She also threw 88’ in the discus to earn bronze.
The other female senior also had a nice day placing 2nd in the triple jump going 34’ 2.25” and went 15’ 6.5” to place 3rd in the long jump.
Marleigh Smith jumped very well again clearing 5’ 2” in the high jump to bring home the gold. She also was 5th in the triple jump going almost 32’ and 7th in the pole vault clearing 7’ 6”. Both of those marks are prequalifying.
Freshman Emily ZumBrunnen continued to score some points for the team. She was 5th in the long jump going 14’ 8” and 6th in the triple jump going almost 32’. She also prequalified in the 200 in a time of 28.15 in 5th place.
Addisyn Bauersachs added a 4th place in the high jump clearing 4’ 7” and Jaci Vetter went 14’ 5” in the long jump for 8th place.
Like the boys, the girls 4x100 relay team of Bauersachs, Vetter, Abby Glavan, and Bristol Cardwell prequalified in a time of 56.94 and were in 4th place.
The Tigers will host the SEWAC Junior High and High School Meet in Lusk this Saturday with field events starting at 9 a.m.
