Dean E. Plumb, 73, of Lusk, Wyoming, passed away Tuesday June 12, 2018 at Elkhorn Rehabilitation Center in Casper, Wyoming. Dean was born September 29, 1944 to Edward Plumb and Opal (Martin) Plumb in Lusk, Wyoming. Dean attended Niobrara County High School, he then joined the Army at a young age. Dean served in the Army from 1969 to 1973 where he served in Vietnam. During his time with the Armed Forces he received many awards including National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device, Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman Badge, and Bronze Star medal. Dean then moved to Phoenix, Arizona working for Schuck Component Systems. He returned to Lusk to care for his mother Opal, finishing out his retirement in Lusk.
Dean loved his walks, gambling, and socializing with a Coors light down at the local saloons.
Dean is survived by his son Roderick Varian Plumb of Phoenix, Arizona, daughter India Denise Fleetwood, granddaughters Courtney and Payton of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Opal (Martin) Plumb.
Memorial Services were held Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Pier Funeral Home Lusk, Wyoming and Inurnment followed at Lusk Cemetery with military honors.
