NIOBRARA COUNTY - The Youngins Rodeo Club has wrapped up another successful summer at the Niobrara Roping Club, celebrating its fifth season of helping local kids build confidence, horsemanship skills, and lifelong memories.
LUSK - Monday evening, July 13, marked the fifth and final night of regular-season play for the Lusk Co-Ed Softball teams. Although it had been a very hot day in Lusk, Wyoming, all four teams showed up ready to give their best.

LUSK - The third week of co-ed softball games took place this past Monday, June 29. Despite the strong winds, the teams played some great games, and home runs were the highlight of the evening. The first game featured Mill Iron and Nana’s Gang. Mill Iron’s home run hitters were Aaron Whitten with one home run, Will Smith with one home run, Will Walker with 1 home run, and Kyler Copsey with two home runs. Nana’s Gang home run hitters were Nathan Miller with 1 home run, Tatum Stallman with two home runs, Ryan Youngquist with one home run, and Garrett Smith with two home runs. The game ended with Mill Iron defeating Nana’s Gang, 20–18.

LUSK – The Niobrara Country Club will be hosting a free junior golf for grades 2nd-8th on July 6 through July 8 from 10 a.m. to noon.
LUSK - The annual NCHS track banquet was held on Tuesday to celebrate the accomplishments of this year’s track and field athletes.
CASPER - With marginal weather conditions at best on Thursday, the Tiger track teams competed at the 1A State Meet this weekend. Both teams performed well as the boys brought home the 4th place trophy for the third year in a row scoring 74.5 points while the girls were 6th scoring 54.5 points.
LUSK - Recent Niobrara County High School graduate Corbin Matthews will get one more game in a Tiger basketball uniform. He was recently selected to the All-Star festivities at Scottsbluff High School sponsored by the Panhandle Prep magazine.
TORRINGTON - With state qualifying bids on the line, the Tiger track teams headed to Torrington this weekend to compete in the 1A East Regional Meet. The weather was great, and so were the results.
TORRINGTON - A few field event athletes attended the annual Wiseman Track Meet in Torrington on Friday in preparation for SEWAC on Saturday and several came away with some hardware.
KEMMERER - The Niobrara County High School Golf Team concluded its Spring Season on May 9 in Kemmerer. Gusty winds accompanied competitors at Fossil Island Golf Course and proved challenging for many during the 36-hole Conference Championships.
LUSK - The 2026 Dennis Zowada Invite was held in Lusk on Saturday and the performances did not disappoint. Both teams finished in the top three with the ladies bringing home the runner up banner scoring 99.33 while the boys finished tied for third scoring 82 points.
SCOTTSBLUFF, NEBRASKA - It’s been a busy week for several Tiger tracksters as it’s the week of the invite only meets.
The Tigers travelled to Pine Bluffs to compete in the Kendra Roeder Invite on Friday. The boys’ team finished in 4th place with 75 points while the girls finished in 6th with 68.5 points.
BURNS - Due to incoming weather, the Tigers traveled to Burns a day earlier than expected to compete in the Burns Twilight on Thursday. The tracksters competed well, with the boys finishing 2nd overall with 91 points and the girls 3rd with 88.5 points.
GURNSEY - The Tigers opened their Spring Season on April 16th in Guernsey at the Trail Ruts Golf Course.
GLENROCK - The Tiger track team continued to find success as they competed in Glenrock on Friday. The girls’ team finished in 4th place with 81 points while the boys scored 43 to finish in 7th.
WHEATLAND - The Tiger track teams had an outstanding meet on Thursday in Wheatland where the girls won the meet as a team scoring 131 points while the boys were runners up to Rawlins scoring 126.
LUSK - When Mother Nature is kind to the winter sports teams, usually the spring teams take the brunt of it in Wyoming’s unpredictable weather. Jim Lyons enters his 12th season in charge of the boys, while Sandra Johnson is in her 16th year leading the girls. Veteran assistants Ron Nelson and Chris Skeen also return.
