HULETT – The Tiger cross-country team wrapped up their season on Thursday, October 17 at the Power River Conference championships at the Hulett Golf Club.

The middle school girls’ team ended up being tied for first place with Newcastle, but were runners up with the tie breaker.

Maci Lyons ended her season with four straight victories and was the Power River Conference champion in the 3K race in a time of 13 minutes, 32 seconds.

Teammate Hazel Gaukel also ran an excellent race for her sixth top 10 finish of the year. She finished seventh with a time of 14:42.

Aalyiah Pavone concluded her eighth-grade season with a great finish in 16:12 to finish in 16th place.

Avery Johnson ran 18:05 to finish in 24th place and end her first cross-country season on a positive finish.

The two middle school boys competed extremely hard and ran a fantastic final race of the season.

Cooper Skeen arguably ran his best race of the season finishing in 16th place in a time of 14:57.

Paul Kruse was right behind him in 18th in a time of 15:06.

I am very proud of the effort and improvements that every runner made over the season. They worked and competed every week to the best of their abilities.
