LUSK – The week of Thanksgiving was a light week for the middle school Lady Tiger basketball team with only Sioux County coming to town on Monday for a game and a half.
In the first game, the Tigers won, 27-17. Four Tigers got in the scoring column with Blakely Hodge leading the way with 9 points. Leah Krein netted eight points, Aalyiah Pavone had six and Sophie Skibicki put in four.
In the two-quarter game that followed, the Tigers also won by a score of 14-4. Skibicki again scored four points. Addie Lytle and Marlee Lang each added three points while Avery Johnson and Lainey Wurdeman each scored a bucket.
The Lady Tigers have two weeks left in the season and will resume play against Glenrock on Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Results from Tuesday’s game were not available at press time.
The three combined middle school girls’ teams have a record of 25-5, with three of the losses being by a single point.
